Harmony Public School Tornado Fund
December 26, 2015 saw great tragedy in the towns of Garland and Rowlett, Texas. Two tornadoes, an EF-3 and an EF-4 ripped through the area leaving millions of dollars of damage, thousands of people without safe homes and great personal devastation.
Harmony Public Schools, the largest charter school network in Texas, has two schools in Garland, Harmony Science Academy and Harmony School of Innovation. Both of these schools have students and families affected by the destruction.
As the Director of Communications and Community Outreach for Harmony Public Schools in DFW, I am fortunate to lead the fundraising for our families in need that are affiliated with our Garland schools.
Harmony is a family. Not only do we provide exceptional, state recognized STEM-based education to our students, but we take care of our families and communities.
Your kind donations will be distributed by our cluster superintendent, Mr. Fatih Ay, directly to the schools to begin replacing items for our families.
While insurance will be helping with some of the losses, our families have an immediate need to begin replacing essential items such as clothes, shoes and food.
Your generosity is appreciated - thank you so much for your consideration in supporting Harmony.
